Well said Nick, love listening to you talk on these sort of topics. On the hauliers side, it’s really grating to be on the cross channel ferries to see the foreign trucks pouring into this country and paying no contribution to our roads whatsoever. Whereas the British haulier pays full UK road tax then pays again in every country in Europe that they drive through, such as the French road tolls (no chance of going off route as weight restrictions apply on smaller roads), the German maut tax, the Benelux Eurovignette. Why aren’t we at least making them pay the Eurovignette? They can also now do cabotage work (working within the UK and doing multiple loads). No wonder the British road haulage industry in in the state it’s in.

i am a lorry driver for a well known haulage company in the uk and i can honestley say that road haulage in this country is in tatters we are earning less money than we were fiffteen years ago and that is due to foreign hauliers being able to under cut british companys.i also have big concerns of the standard of driving of foreign drivers only the other day i saw a foreign driver watching a film on his lap top when he was driving in the middle lane of the m25 at 55mph crazey thats all i can say and i see this regular on the uks roads well said nick thats why joined the party

Is it any wonder Mr Griffin is rarely seen in the media speaking about issues such as these…..such intelligent, unambiguous, common sense views as his, has the lib/lab/con lot running scared.
    Keep it up Nick !
