Nick Visits A Brave Little Girl

Three year old Jaime Ella had been admitted to Blackburn Royal following a suspected ear infection, but when her condition didn’t improve she was referred to Manchester Children’s Hospital where a MRI scan and blood tests revealed that Jaime had a rare inoperable brain tumour (Brain Stem Glioma).
She is currently half way through gruelling radiotherapy treatment at Christie’s Hospital which doctors say offers only a 1 in 10 chance of success.
Jaime’s family and friends are trying to raise funds to send the ‘princess mad’ little girl to Disneyland where she could see all her favourite characters and also make the next few months as comfortable as possible for her.
Nick met Jaime and her mother just after the little girl had just been through a two hour session of radiotherapy at the hospital and was moved by their great courage and resillience.
The MEP made a £500 donation from his English Fair Fund to go towards helping get Jaime to Disneyland and asked that the report of his visit should carry details to enable others to donate to this good cause.

By the grace of God, she can be one of the 10% who come out of radiotherapy alive. I certainly hope she gets to go to Disney World too, its a really wonderful place.
