sound was bad quality as is the lighting. the party needs to address these issuse if people are to take us seriously. also look at the arranging of furniture. untidy obstructions/distractions. people should also be strategically placed as to giving an appearance of high attendance even when it is not the case.the party deserves better for the good work it produces and these small details are important to attracting supporters. the camera person should have extra lighting present, even 1 lamp would make a difference as would a reasonable microphone.
Yes, I agree, though the sound seems good quality to me – modern microphones are incredibly good. If a venue has a white ceiling, one builders light at the back can bounce natural-looking light from above.
Recently I tried to record a very good speech (on the heroin ‘industry’) but nobody had considered where to put a camera; the best I could do was a sideways shot, and the upward angle meant the chap had a ventilator and ceiling behind his head; also the sound gave problems and there were people talking… I’m afraid I just gave up and left. Some of these organisers don’t seem to be able to understand that a video might be seen by hundreds of times more people than the live audience.
