Mr Griffin is a natural born leader. I for one stand up to be counted as his supporter, full stop.

Very impressive that Mr. Griffin was the only politican to attend, but what a shame as well, as it shows just how little the average politician cares about their country these days.
By the way, does anyone know the name of the song played at the beginning? Very beautiful. We don’t have church services any where near that nice here where I live. Even the local Anglican church is quite shoddy by comparison.

The song at the beginning is called “I VOW TO THEE MY COUNTRY”

Glad to see Arthur Lane is still around. He helped me find out where my Uncle Walter Harrison was killed & what unit he fought in.
God Bless Arthur Lane

Shame on the Lab/Con-Dem hypocrites for ignoring this event.
Well done, Mr Griffin – and thank you.

Liverpool BNP would like to say a big thank you to the organisers of the Far East Prisoners of War Memorial Service, for inviting us to their remembrance of the 65th Anniversary of VJ Day.
The event took place at Christ the King RC Church, Childwall, Liverpool, and was organised by the National Ex Services Association and the Irish Guards Singers – who sang brilliantly at the service and at the reception afterwards. More information on this brilliant group of singers can be found at;
http://www.irish-guards.co.uk/_New_Site/New_Pages/IG%20Singers/singers.htm
This was a really touching occasion, which was carried out with remarkable sensitivity by all concerned. It was particularly poignant to witness the enduring strength of character of the veterans, who were clearly re-living every anguished memory of how they and their friends suffered, so that their descendants could be free. Let’s hope that the younger generation of British people appreciate the sacrifices that their forebears made, on their behalf.
One of the veterans, Arthur Lane, is a prolific author and has written several books on military subjects, and he very kindly gave away free copies of his books, which he personally autographed.
More information can be found at;

Once again, thank you all very much indeed.

I know the media don’t give you much of a chance but thank you for supporting the FEPOW family.
Will now grab a milky bar and watch the latest Karate Kid movie.

As a boy in the 1950s I was at school with a girl whose father had been in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. He had such a bad time and was in such bad shape, that on release, he was taken to the USA for rehabilitation, for one year, before comming home. He used to wake up screaming in the night as he re-lived his experiences in his sleep. Throughout my life, I have always tried to avoid buying anything made in Japan – I have never owned a japanese made car – I think that I owe it to him !!

A lovely Service of Rememberance.
Good interview, well done.

Nick is the only politician in the UK with a back bone that is fighting for our freedom!!!
August 18th, 2010 at 10:16 pm
What a wonderful man Nick Griffin is, supporting the FEPOW and being the only politician does not surprise me. Thanks again to Nick and I end this singing to myself ” I VOW TO THEE MY COUNTRY “

All i can say is well done Mr Griffin you have my respect. Its a good job that we never had the type of politican we have now during 1939 – 45, we would be singing a diffrent anthem if we had. My Father fought the Japanese during the war in Burma. I wonder sometimes what he fought for, i know he felt the same way God rest his soul. Keep up the good work Nick, make us proud to be English again.

Well done Nick and the BNP. Could it be that these men who gave so much in defense of our country are now considered an embarrassment to the multicultural agendas of the liblabcon men and so they are trying to distance themselves from events such as this in case it upsets some of their new found friends. Their failure to support and their absense from this event says so much about how low the liblabcon men are prepared to stoop in order to achieve their goals. Eternal shame on them.

Well done Nick your presence shows that you care about the well-being of our ex-soldiers and the history of our country. Shame on all the other political parties that couldn’t be bothered to attend perhaps because they would offend some minority group!
When will the rank and file people in this country wake up? Perhaps when Clegg let’s in millions upon millions of Turks after Turkey is admitted to the EU, only then will they realise what’s happened, unfortunately then it will be too late.

Whilst I do totally not support Nick I do commend him for his efforts here. I remember when I was young many men hobbling around the town who were ex Jap POWs; they sufferered so much. Good Luck to all our old soldiers, I wonder if it will be illegal to have such rememberances in the future.
August 19th, 2010 at 2:29 pm
Well done Nick–Where were the other political parties probably pandering to ethnic minorities me thinks
August 19th, 2010 at 6:08 pm
Congratulations Nick, Well done when no one else could be bothered to attend the FEPOW meeting. You have re-instated confidence in me with my grandchildrens future. I am re-joining the BNP right now. Good wishes MIKE.

Very moving footage and i raise my hat to Mr Griffin. His politics and beliefs may be at polar opposites to my own “lefty wishy washy liberal” leanings.
But there in Mr Griffin is somebody who deeply cares for the plight that our brave troops went through and are going through right now.
August 19th, 2010 at 9:04 pm
Well done Nick, but it doesn’t surprise me that he is the only one to take the time to support these brave men. My partners grandad was killed after been captured in singapore , I have read many books about these men and what they went through, really sad that they have been forgotten by so many people, my thoughts go out to all our soldiers present and past. Well done again Nick Griffin
