Geert Wilders opening words in court

Geert Wilders is the leader of the PVV (Party for Freedom) in the Netherlands. On January 20th 2010 he went on trial in Amsterdam, charged with insulting Muslims, discrimination against Muslims, and incitement to hatred. These were his opening words in court.

    This man should not be on trial for speaking the truth.

Please continue your efforts to defend freedom of speech and expose those who are trying to take it away. I would agree with one of the other writers on this page that it would be nice to have a link to more information about this and other cases in Europe and the status of the court proceedings.
