Second BNPtv report from Dublin
Posted on: June 12, 2008
The Republic of Ireland goes to the polls, Thursday 12th June.
In the second of three reports on the Lisbon Treaty Referendum, the Irish go the polls with the various parties mostly arguing for a yes vote. However, early polls indicate that there is a strong distrust of the EU and transferring ever more powers to Brussels. A No vote would send shock waves through the EU and very likely end any further Referendums concerning even greater Integration. A third report will follow once the final result is known, which will be anytime from Friday 13th onwards.
